OMG I still cannot believe that I am about to be in week 4 of my new weight lifting routine and I couldn’t be happier!
I have been slowly realizing how much easier it has gotten to get up early in the morning and push through those workouts without issue. It is definitely shocking to me how much easier it has gotten to do simple things like getting up and going to the gym the past week and I am excited to see how I can make this morning gym habit last for the foreseeable future.
This past week I was able to hit up Zyn22 everyday from Sunday to Thursday, as well as do a double on Wednesday! To say the least it definitely kicked my butt, especially after all the big sets in the morning.
The next thing I am noticing is how much more committed I am to my nutrition, not because I am getting used to the same meals so frequently but because I know how much better I feel when I eat “clean” and healthy throughout the week. The one part I have definitely been slacking on is my daily smoothie but I am pushing myself to do one a day for the month of May to get myself on track.
My weekend meals have not changed too much but I have been more aware of what I eat and what portions I eat. While I am definitely not counting grams and ounces during my weekend adventures, I am definitely conscious on what I put in my body.
For instance I enjoyed every bit of these amazing pork chops I ordered at BrickHouse Tavern and had no regrets!
You have to enjoy your life sometimes and cannot worry about every single piece of food you put in your body. I want to work on my nutrition and fitness but I also want to live a happy life. It is definitely hard sometimes to strike a balance between the two but if I get to enjoy a meal or two during the weekends that re-energizes me and brings my joy then I refuse to give those up.
I hope you have all found that balance between fitness and adventure, it is a hard line to balance but one that is achievable. We are almost at summer time so keep pushing yourself and let me know how your goals are going!
Are you sticking to your fitness goals? Have you changed any habits or routines to achieve them?
As always happy adventures and keep pushing yourself!
