Goals Goals Goals

Every year we start January thinking of what goals we want to accomplish and  most of the time we don’t stick to them. I am definitely not immune to this trend and have been doing my best to change that this year.

I waited until the end of the month to do my goals post to make sure I truly knew what I wanted to make of 2017. I have had a few goals in mind for some time now but wanted to make sure they truly mattered to me. I am laying out some very broad goals for 2017 that I am excited and anxious to see how they go. I have already started these goals earlier in the month and know that these three categories are what I want for myself.

  1. Diet
    1. I don’t want to say diet in the terms of restricting everything I eat but I do want to focus on eating a healthier “clean” diet that fuels my body for what I want to accomplish. This meals every week I am at work I will meal prep, I will up my greens intake with smoothies and veggies everyday and I will also take caution with drinking and weekend eating.
  2. Fitness
    1. I have been getting back into fitness over the last two-three months and I couldnt be more excited. I want to push myself to attend multiple workout classes per week and at least 2-3 weight-lifting sessions per week. An overall fitness regimen is what I am pushing for this year and not a focus on a race or sport.
  3. Travel
    1. Lastly the travel bug has bit me and I cant wait to take every and all opportunities to go around the U.S. and the world to visit new and exciting places. I also want to share those places through this blog, social media and video in the near future.

These three goals will be my main focus for the rest of the year and are parts of my life that bring me joy and keep me excited for each new day. I don’t want to make my goals chores or something that I don’t look forward too.

2017 is a brand new year and you have to stop thinking about what you haven’t done and start thinking of what you can do. There is not time to dwell on the past or worry about what someone else is doing, you have to focus on yourself and strive for happiness each and every day.
